Hello,

We all heard a way people spell some words using military alphabet: "Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, ...". Recently I found that it is standard that called "NATO phonetic alphabet": http://osric.com/chris/phonetic.html

Here is a version that can be called "REIN phonetic alphabet"

It was born on my commute today.

Alberta
Belize
Calgary
Durham
Edmonton
Financing
Goldmine
Hamilton
Interest
Joint Venture
Kitchener
Landlord
Money Negotiation Ontario Property Quickstart Rent Survey Toronto Utilities Vendor Waterloo Xerox Yield Zoning
Brilliant!

Now we can use this when spelling our name out to someone, just like pilots do, but now the REIN way.

Hi Jeremy,

Initial version was "Grand Prairie", but "Goldmine scorecard" won it the "REIN way"

Let`s see what Don thinks about it.

The hardest was "X". Still do not have a good answer (Xmas, Xray, Xenon - light bulbs in Lexus and BMW, ...)

Hi Jeremy,

Actually, it could be adapted for different REIN chapters (eg, Alberta version, Ontario, ...)

Until it is "official" and sealed by Don it is open for suggestions

I`ll comprimise with ya:
"Goldmine => Grande Prairie"
OR
"Grande Prairie => Goldmine"

Hello mortgageman,

I thought about Xceed, but it is not widespread as Xerox.

Thanks for suggestion!

Yes, X is very tricky letter (I just checked Oxford dictionary)

How about a reference to `X` where you sign on the dotted line? `X-Here` `X Marks the Spot` `sign at the X`

It doesn`t quite work but it may get the brain juices flowing.

Hi Grant,

Brilliant! That the spirit! If you do not have word - invent it. I like new word "X-here"
style_emoticons
Eventually such words make their way to official vocabularies (eg, verb "Google")

Let`s just use this new word a lot to get noticed by publishing companies.
