Rental Increase in Calgary

We`re hoping to raise the rent for a furnished bedroom in Brentwood really close to LRT Station. Currently, we have three rooms rented for $500 per month, and the one small bedroom (as typical in residential homes) is empty. The house is furnished, so are the bedrooms but with our intention to renovate a second bathroom, and perhaps a new furnace, we want to raise the rent.

Any thoughts on putting them up to $600 per month or too steep for a percentage increase?

Thanks! We are at loggerheads here in our management team!

Why not let the market tell you the truth about the rent levels. Run a few ads based on the $600 mark and measure the results.

Hey Cal - you know that the correct answer is: whatever Linda (or in my case Lynda) thinks!!!
