Has anyone had any good/bad experience with Windsor Student rentals?
I would be interested in hearing.

Thx

Anyone have much familiarity with this market? It seems like there might be potential for high returns from the beaten up Windsor market but from (superficial) looking I`ve not seen anything exciting enough....

I would also be interested in hearing what others have to say. It seems like buy in is very low at $99,000 compared with Waterloo where it will cost at least $300,000.

Hey folks, I don`t have personal experience in this area but I met a REIN member at the last ACRES event in Toronto who owned three student rentals in Windsor. He told me the market is pretty bad for landlords as there is an over supply of student rentals and he is always battling vacancy. He speculated that because the job market is so bad that traditional single family home rentals for blue collar workers have converted to student rentals in hope of finding tenants.

But that`s just one story and one market for student rentals... personally I`m looking at a few student rental deals on the Hamilton Mountain near Mohawk college. There appears to be some great cash flow opportunities if done right on properties around the $210-220k mark. If this is something that interests you let me know, I`m a real estate agent

Cheers,
Erwin
