World News as Seen by the US Networks

I came across this talk about what get's covered on major US news networks channels. This is a map of the world based on how many seconds of coverage each country got in 2007 (the big beige country is Iraq):

I thought it was interesting given how we always talk at REIN about how the media reports reality so disproportionately to.

It depends what time period you use as well. If you did the same excercise using this weeks news coverage, the biggest country on the map would be Egypt.
