Another airline is climbing on the Kelowna-Fort McMurray bandwagon.
In January, WestJet announced it will start non-stop daily flights to Fort Mac on May 12 using its new 76-seat Q400 turbo-prop plane.
The early morning departures from Kelowna and late night departures from Fort Mac are designed to get those who work in northern Alberta's oil and gas industry in and out at times corresponding to shift start and end.

CALGARY ` The unique bitumen recovery process being employed at Imperial Oil Ltd.`s Kearl oilsands mine is delivering realized price bonuses worth hundreds of thousands of dollars per day, according to an investment bank report.
In a research note released early Thursday, analyst Michael Dunn of FirstEnergy Capital Corp. said the value of bitumen produced at Kearl in 2013 was likely $7 to $10 more per barrel than raw bitumen produced by other operations.
