What do I need to know before I rent out a room in my house. We have a reliable tenant who wants to move in to our basement. It has a kitchen and bathroom with a shared entrance and laundry area.

Thank you for your reply. We live in BC. We have found an excellent tenant. We will be renting a basement bachelor suite with shared entrance, laundry, yard, and driveway parking.
