Looking for Book Keeper in Edmonton area

I am in need of a book keeper to either help me get started with my portfolio, or do the accounting themselves.
I have just purchased my first property so the work is small.

My personal recommendation is to buy QuickBooks for $130 and do your own bookkeeping. It is a minor amount of work and will save you a bundle of time and money. The learning curve for QuickBooks is maybe 3 or 4 hours but is worth the pain as it provides a balance sheet and searchable record of transactions.

I agree with Matt

For the first few properties doing it yourself is worth it as you'll get to know what goes where etc. and Quickbooks is quite easy once you figure it out.

Have anyone tried Xero or Yendo? I think they are a little more expensive, but heard some positive reviews.

I use quickbooks online, my accountant has instant access to everything, and I was able to hire someone as an admin to do all my base data entry (she scans every receipt now). She is in Edmonton, and is looking for more work if you are interested in exploring this option more.
